New Jersey artist Sue Granskie has been in love with art her entire life. After graduating high school with a scholarship, she attended Spectrum Institute for the advertising arts, graduating with a major in illustration. She has worked as an illustrator, Graphic artist, Textile Designer, as well as a muralist & decorative painter. Textile Designer work became scarce after the company started doing all design work on the computer, so Sue followed her husband’s suggestion to paint murals. She painted her entire house, top to bottom, with murals.
She then participated in the 2004 Fauxcademy held in Las Vegas where she received the Platinum Award for Best Mural Project, and the Silver Award for best TrompL'oeil Project. She worked a few years in California for artist Kerne Erickson, a great inspiration in her life. She attended certified classes in faux finishes at the Dundean Studio in New Jersey , The Finishing school in New York, and classes with Pierre Finkelstein, Nicola Vigini, and Mike Macneil to name a few. She is also a member of IDAL and the Faux Forum. She is a passionate artist who paints with her heart & soul, and strives for perfection in her work.
