Michel Nadaï is an award winning Decorative Painter running a successful decorative painting business and school in the Southwest of France. A multi-talented decorative painter with more than 20 years of experience in this profession, Michel’s strength is that he excels in a wide range of disciplines, from wood and marble graining, to trompe-l’œil ornaments and painted murals.

After winning several awards regionally and then nationally, Michel receives the life-time title of Best Craftsman of France in Decorative Painting and Trompe-l’œil in 1994, the highest distinction for this profession in France.
A native of Albi, in the Southwest of France, Michel’s painting career began when he joined the renowned Châtelet Theater in Paris where for ten years he worked in theatre and stage sets. This milieu fascinates Michel and leads him to further specialise in decorative painting and trompe-l’œil. He leaves Paris to return to his native Southwest of France where he opens his atelier, and then later on his school.

Established in 1992, the Nadaï-Verdon Advanced School of Decorative Painting offered an intensive and in-depth training to students from all over France and the world. Today, Michel continues to transmit his savoir-faire and offer very high quality teaching and techniques in the fine tradition of European decorative painting. His school will offer classes beginning 2007 in a new location.
Michel is also invited to teach as guest teacher in some of the finest American decorative painting schools, and is also regularly invited to attend tradeshows and expos in the US.

A regular participant of the International Salon of Decorative Painters, Michel also held numerous personal exhibitions in France, Tokyo and other European countries.
