Undercoat: Sharktooth (we used a white, but for application it should be tinted)
Texture: StripFX - C5-KX15 GAL
Color and Glaze: Lustre Pearl (tinted) - FM L3 Qt
- Ensure the one coat of StipFX is even and not so thin in areas that when you create the wrinkles by brushing your
hand down the tissue paper that you have break-thru to the background. One coat only and then lightly tack on tissue
paper and then run hand down tissue to create wrinkles.
- UNWRINKLED tissue paper is used. Wrinkled looks horrid. Ensure straight edges are torn off tissue paper before applying.
Leave tissue paper to dry on the wall, usually overnight. Next day tissue removes easily, by lightly pulling one edge
towards you as you back away from the wall. Any tiny stuck peice, light dampen tissue with damp sponge and remove.
- Either paint to seal the StripFX and then glaze ( paint and glaze) or TINT and then Glaze ( paint and glaze).
- StripFX must be sealed. Either by paint or by Glaze but the glaze must be paint and glaze not glaze and universals.
- Technique-most realistic leather in the market, as the wrinkles created by tissue are "in" not "out".
Application rules for removal and application are all o the web site should they forget the class instruction. www.stripfx.com
